Mission and Vision

Mission:

To build Central Florida’s technology and creative community by investing in promising companies.

Provide seed capital to early-stage technology companies that demonstrate significant growth potential with a broad reach of customers.

To increase access to capital for those promising companies and create a diverse technology eco-system that reflects our community.

Level the playing field by providing access to capital for all members of our community.

Vision:

Brand our region as the center in the Southeast for innovation and create an eco-system for entrepreneurs, technologists and the creative class.

Invest in a portfolio of companies that will create jobs and wealth.

Build and strengthen the local angel and venture capital investment network.

Attract entrepreneurs and capital from outside the region.

Our mission is simple. We want to make our community a better place by building our region's technology eco-system that will retain and attract technology companies, technology jobs and increase access to risk capital. Through education and enlisting our community we can create a diverse technology center that will provide opportunities for growth and economic development.

FireSpring Fund was created through a grant from the US Economic Development Administration with matching funds led by University of Central Florida, The City of Orlando Downtown Development Board, Rollins College, Starter Studio, Canvs and other corporate supporters including Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated, BDO, Creative Village, The Law firm of David Mitchell, and GroupLM3. The grant will be used to raise, deploy and manage a $5 million evergreen seed fund that will be deployed in innovative technology and advanced manufacturing startups in Central Florida.
